THE 2024 STAGES

prologue tt + 5 stages (total approx 600km) -ALL details coming soon!

The 2024 Granfondo Yunnan will see a completely different programme for the first time since the covid pandemic. On the race schedule are a Prologue TT and five genuine stages for a total distance of 600+ km (long distance category), similar to the 2018 and 2019 editions. The event will start in Dehong - Mangshi in Yunnan’s Southwestern corner near Myanmar on Saturday, 2 November. The finish line will be drawn for the first time in Xishuangbanna - Jinghong, near the border with Thailand, one week later on the 9th. Both cities have airports, Xishuangbanna in particular is well-connected within China and even Hong Kong. As always, Yunnan is a mountainous province so expect quite a bit of climbing at elevated altitudes. There will be 2 long bus transfers on Tuesday and Thursday, which will allow participants to prepare and recover from this year’s new Queen’s Stage in Lincang - Fengqing.

As soon as all administrative and political procedures are concluded, the new programme, including course maps and the logistical set-up, will be announced in full detail.
