DESCRIPTION
What? Short & Spicy. After a flat 12 km, the road just goes up, up, up
Where? Start at old town centre square. Finish atop Mount Zixin
When? Opening Ceremony at 8:30 a.m, Race start at 9:00 a.m. Short distance at 9:15 a.m.
How? Start is at the front of main event hotel. After finish, busses will take everyone back to town
Red flag: It is not permitted to descent Mt Zixin after the race by bike.
Bottom line: The shortest stage of our festival produced some fantastic uphill racing in the early years 2014-2017. It is a treacherous and often irregular climb so it is hard to settle into a rhythm. Be careful during the neutralised start and first kilometer taking the peloton out of the old town.
